The more we know up front, the closer the first number is to the final one. For furniture, tell us what the piece is, roughly how old it is if you know, what is wrong with it, and what you want it to look like when it comes home. For a piano move, we need the type of piano (upright, console, spinet, baby grand, grand), both addresses, and the honest version of the access at each end: stairs, whether they turn, doorway and hallway widths, thresholds, and where a truck can park. Surprises on moving day cost everybody time.

One of us — Bob, Jenny, or Dick — gets back to you personally. This is a family shop in Modesto, not a call center, so you are talking to the people who will actually do the work.

We will ask whatever we still need to know, then give you an estimate and a realistic timeline. If we think your piece does not need as much work as you assumed, or is not worth restoring at all, we will tell you that instead of quoting it. Nothing gets stripped, moved, or started until you have said yes to a price.
